Lisbon has 7 hills that provide great vistas of the city and surrounding area.
Strategically situated on the top of Sao Jorge's hill, the highest of the 7 hills, is Castelo de St Jorge (St Jorge's Castle). It offers awesome 360 degree views.

From the castle vantage point you can see the Ponte 25 Abril (25th of April) bridge. The suspension bridge is often compared to San Francisco's Golden Gate bridge. It is over 2km long and connects Lisbon with Almada.

St Jorge's hill and the castle can be seen from other vantage points in the city.

There are awesome views of the city and Tagus river from many of the scenic viewpoints.
From some of the vantage points you can also look down into the streets below and see that after the devastating earthquake and tsunami of 1755 the streets were redesigned into more of a grid pattern,
Having great viewpoints is photogenic, but, there is also the reality of climbing the hills just to get from point A to point B....
More on that to follow!
