MEXICO: People Watching in San Miguel

I am not one for people watching. 

I am usually too shy to stare at people because I think I am invading their space and their privacy. 

And I am definitely too mortified to ask if I can take their picture.

But every once in a while I will stop and look at the people and surreptitiously take photos of them.

So invariably my photos are not very good. 

Here is a selection of my best efforts at People Watching in San Miguel, in no particular order.

Kids in the market quietly entertaining themselves while their parents are making a living selling their wares.

 

 

Girls (wisely) ignoring the boys.

 

 A young lady trying to sell her wares on the street.

 

 

 

Small vendors try to sell hats at the road blocks into the main streets of the centro. I am not sure of they are not allowed on the main streets, so they try to catch tourists on their way out.

 

 

Ladies try to sell handcrafted dolls in tradition costumes.

This guy intrigued me. I figure he has a lot of stories to tell, when he feels inclined to tell them. 

 

 

 

The oldest bakery in San Miguel, in business since 1901.

A bartender in a cool bar that you wouldn't know existed unless someone showed you it existed. (A tour guide showed us.)
